NAIFA RI’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament Supports the Garden Foundation of Rhode Island

Posted on June 25, 2024 by NAIFA Rhode IslandJune 25, 2024

On June 21st, NAIFA RI brought together industry professionals for a day of golf and giving at Triggs Memorial Golf Course in Providence. This year’s Annual Charity Golf Tournament was dedicated to supporting the Garden Foundation of Rhode Island. Established in 2004, the Foundation expanded its mission to enhance horticultural education across Rhode Island and neighboring communities. It provides grants for equipment and programs, notably funding a state-of-the-art greenhouse at the RI Veterans Home in Bristol, valued at over $200,000, to facilitate therapeutic gardening activities for residents.

Against the backdrop of Triggs’ scenic fairways, participants engaged in spirited competition while championing a cause that enriches lives through gardening and education. The tournament not only fostered friendly competition but also underscored NAIFA RI’s commitment to community support.

The day culminated in an awards ceremony celebrating top performers and acknowledging generous sponsors whose contributions ensure the Foundation’s continued success. Participants departed with a sense of accomplishment, knowing their involvement directly benefits local communities.

For those who missed this year’s event, NAIFA RI looks forward to welcoming you to future tournaments that uphold our tradition of excellence and philanthropy.
